Piopio Scout Weekend 12&13-05-2012

A cold morning start greeted everyone as we set out to explore the frosty tracks.

It was a lot dryer than I had expected but Tony and others were magnetised to the pig wallers we found.

Even Bill tried to through up a smoke screen to disguise the fact that he was stuck. It nearly worked!!!

As the sun warmed up the clay tracks gave up more traction allowing us more time driving. The ‘Donut Pit’ was always a favorite but it became very sticky gloooop that required the odd tow. Yes it was over my boot!!!!! Some found this situation the perfect opportunity to continue doing donuts showering me and both vehicles in shit! Of course I wouldn’t do something so underhanded like that with someone up to their knees in it!

The donut pit progressively dried out as we sent all the mud flying.

Although it took a while.

A good weekend was had by the Scouts and us. Thanks to all who helped.
